- Abstract
The article offers guidance to youth-serving professionals to assist social service organizations in reducing the disproportionate policing and criminalization of LGBTQ youth of color. Topics discussed include disproportionate policing and state-involvement of LGBTQ youth in the U.S.; need of laws applicable to arrest and search warrants as per the U.S. Constitution's Fourth Amendment warrant requirement; and ways to prevent falsely reporting crimes.
