Exile government prays for Taiwan's typhoon victims.
Abstract
The article focuses on the prayer service organized by the exile Tibetan government's Department of Religion and Culture which is intended for the victims of typhoon Morakot in Taiwan. The monks of Namgyal monastery lead the service participated by some of 200 Tibetans. Meanwhile, the typhoon has caused 153 deaths and left 464 missing as of August 21, 2009. Moreover, it as well destroys several villages due to landslides and flooding.
