This article discusses judgments made by the European Court of Justice and the European Union Court of First Instance concerning human rights from January to March 2001. Topics include an individuals' right to reply to an Advocate-General's observations in the case of Emesa Sugar (Free Zone) NV v. Aruba, the recognition of the rulings of foreign courts in the case of Krombach v. Bamberski, and the right of access to documents in the case of Netherlands v. Commission and van der Wal.
