- Abstract
The article focuses on a geochemical study that analyzes the isotopic characteristics of salma eclogites found in the northwestern part of the Belomorian mobile belt (BMB) in Russia. It notes that the eclogites are one of the key objects that support the application of tectonic mechanism to the Early Precambrian. A method of isotopic dilution for measuring the samarium (Sm) and neodymium (Nd) concentrations was used and was performed on a Triton multicollector mass spectrometer. Results confirm the Svekofennian age of the complex isotopic geochemical investigation and reconstructed the regressive trend of metamorphism evolution that is consistent with the trend of rock cooling.
