- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the effects of restoration efforts on species recruitment to a 32-hectare subsection where hydrologic function was restored in early 2010. The preliminary effects of restoration activities on species recruitment were monitored and vegetative structure that exists within bogs which were modernized versus those were not were documented. A layer of mucky peat or peat starting near the soil surface and underlain by sandy soil were observed.
