- Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study that examined the Chironomidae larvae colonization in the decomposition leaves of Eichhornia azurea in a lake in southeastern Brazil from September to November 2007 and February to April 2008. The study noted the rapid decomposition rate of the Eichhornia azurea leaves in both seasons. It cited the most abundant Chironomidae genera including Goeldichironomus and Tanytarsus.
