The article offers information on the Christmas music of William Byrd, brilliant English Catholic composer during the Renaissance. It further discusses about an English carol from a songbook that Byrd dedicated to Queen Elizabeth I's chancellor; he was a Catholic who worked for Protestant Queen Elizabeth as a court composer and musician; and also mentions about "Byrd" book by Kerry McCarthy, scholar and singer of Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony.
