- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 71-year-old white male with 1-week history of postprandial nausea with emesis who presented himself to his primary physician. He was diagnosed with several dilated loops of small bowel with two dynamic air-fluid levels, gas in the descending colon and a moderate amount of stool in the ascending colon. He was treated with nasogastric decompression and abdominal plain radiography but he had to undergo a lateral enterotomy since his symptoms had not improved.
