- Abstract
The article discusses the efficacy of radiofrequency ablation (RFA), a minimally invasive treatment option that uses high-energy waves to create frictional heat that results in the destruction of solid tumors as well as cell death in lung cancer. RFA offers hope to patients who are considered poor candidates for curative resection because they can often tolerate RFA therapy. It has been successfully used in the treatment of bone, kidneys and liver tumor.
