- Abstract
The article discusses the impact of Canada's governing public policies on providing access to new drugs to the consuming public. Notably, patients has to spend time waiting before having an access to newly developed patented prescription drugs due to lengthening government's scrutiny whether these drugs are safe and effective. It likewise stresses the failure of government intervention which could have been alleviated through a more economically liberal policy approach.
