- Authors
Martinho, Ana Maria Mão-De-Ferro
- Abstract
The article examines how postcolonial theory impacted African literatures and cultures. The article specifically looks at postcolonial theory during the period of 1960s, because during this period one can note different Utopian perspectives from inside and outside the established colonial systems in African countries. Utopian perspectives become critical in the study of postcolonial theory because of the anticolonialism sentiment and the desire to create strong capable nations.
