- Abstract
The article presents a comparison between the teaching methods of music teacher Philip C. Hayden and the Kodály method. It states that the methods of Hayden are called rhythm forms they represent tonal patterns in seven forms. The Kodály method uses the process of imitation to teach the melodic combinations in music. It also mentions that the teaching strategies of the two methods are based on the understanding of the child development.
