- Abstract
The effects of process parameters, such as the position in the ultrasound field and the gas content of the fabric and of the washing medium, on the efficiency of ultrasonic textile washing were studied. The results reveal that these parameters influence washing efficiency by means of ultrasound wave phenomena and acoustic cavitation. This study explains the actual physical mechanism of the ultrasonic textile washing process. Some optimization strategies for a large-scale ultrasonic washing process are also outlined.
