An essay is presented that explores the concept of landscape as an abstract and concrete. It highlights the significance of landscape as metaphor in music-related studies as it allows the acquisition of peculiarities of licensed refugee cafés and military confinement. Also explored is the case of Little Vienna which has contributed an unusual part on the interpretations of live music during war.
