A Decade of "Cultch".
- Authors

- Abstract
The article evaluates the Cultural Heritage course at Bates College in Maine. According to the author, science major students have found Cultural Heritage difficult due to their laboratory schedules and that they cannot give enough attention to the course. The practical-minded students sometimes complained why they should be exposed to a course with so general background and theory. However, there were also students who found the course relevant to their lives. An insurance salesman said that the course was the most significant one he had in college because it enabled him to recognize pictures and books in prospective clients' living rooms and thus use them for discussion.
