- Abstract
The article presents criticism on the film "Fired," directed by Sajit Warrier. Particular focus is given to how the films explores the themes of globalization, the Great Recession and transnational horror. Additional topics discussed include other horror films that deal with the Great Recession including "Drag Me to Hell" and "Paranormal Activity," the book "The Condition of Postmodernity," by David Harvey, and the increasing gap between the extremely wealthy and common people.
