- Title
Hormone Therapy At Menopause May Pose Breast Cancer Risk.
- Abstract
The article summarizes findings of a study on hormone therapy timing and breast cancer risk. The study, published online in "The Journal of the National Cancer Institute" on January 28, 2011, used data from the Million Women Study (MWS) in Great Britain. It found out that women who started hormone therapy at the time of menopause have greater risk of breast cancer than those who started it at least five years after menopause. The study supports findings from the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) in the U.S.
