- Title
Would You Rather Eat a Rabbit or a One-Ton Ground Sloth?
- Authors
Easterla, David A.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the discovery of fossil bones of including heavy single bone and two hip bones of an adult ground sloth on the West Fork of the Grand River, Ringgold County, Iowa by archaeologists Jim and Bob Mc-Clarnon on June 30, 2014. It explains that the original time of burial of the sloth is expected to be during the Pleistocene Ice Age. It reveals that the ground sloth had been butchered with Folsom point and scraper-knife found with these fossil bones.
