- Title
Mesoscopy of Cluster Gases.
- Authors

- Abstract
The properties of gases in the near-critical region acquire the features of the liquid state; in other words, mesoscopy of a dense gas is manifested. In the cluster model [3], mesoscopy is explained by the effect of large clusters. The results of calculation of the temperature dependence of viscosity agree with experimental data in the prediction of mesoscopy, which was also observed in the pressure dependence of the thermodiffusion baric effect (the direction of this effect at high pressures corresponds to the liquid state). The phenomena associated with a change in the properties of a gas without the emergence of an interface should be referred to as a mesoscopic phase transition. © 2005 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
