- Abstract
The article discusses the arguments of philosophers Immanuel Kant and Jean-Jacques Rousseau Kant regarding international relations and politics. Kant began his discussion by examining the international state of war. He pointed out that nations must enter into a legal state, a union of states, to establish peace and the public right of nations. On the other hand, Rousseau opposed that war need bring constitutional government and peace is disrupted when states compete in search for security.
