Title
How Alcoholics Anonymous works.
Abstract
The article features Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), the most successful mutual help organization for alcoholics. The 12 steps promulgated in a volume called the "Big Book" are the guiding principles of AA. Although the 12 steps contain references to God, AA is not a religious organization. AA members identify themselves as alcoholics and usually avoid talking other subjects in their meetings.
