- Abstract
The article focuses on the foreign policy of Greece in relation to its relationship with Turkey and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM). It states that policy-making within Greece uses public opinion as the fundamental source of its decisions and priorities. Furthermore, it says that the Greek media plays a protagonist role in defining an acceptable foreign policy, and in the negotiations that reinforce the public's perception of a country under siege.
