- Authors
Chang, David
- Abstract
The article discusses how to reduce cognitive decline of pediatric patients with brain tumors who have to undergo extensive radiation therapy. Several research studies which investigated irradiation factors that have the most influence on neurocognitive deterioration were reviewed. In the studies, a reduction in dose delivered and volume of irradiated tissue appeared to lessen neurocognitive deficits.
