- Abstract
The leading factor among the personal factors regulating human behavior is self-esteem. The prerequisites for the development of self-esteem are in the success of socialization. In chronic or psychosomatic illnesses such as bronchial asthma, children or adolescents may have low self-esteem due to the discomfort or pain associated with updating their bodily self and fear of death. Another prerequisite for desocialization of asthma patients and adolescents is the feeling of loneliness. Loneliness is an experience related to the feeling of isolation, selflessness, futility, unnecessaryness and hostility on the part of others.
