- Abstract
The article highlights the results of the analysis of incidents in mental health facilities reported to the National Patient Safety Agency between November 2003 and September 2005 in Great Britain. The four categories of incident are patient accidents, aggressive behavior, self-harming behavior and missing patients. There were 19 allegations of rape that were included in the incidents relating to sex. The agency's key messages for reducing the risk of self-harm are presented.
