- Abstract
The intramolecular condensation of chalcone (benzylideneacetophenone) in a DMSO solution in the presence of KOH gave (4-hydroxy-2,4,6-triphenylcyclohexane-1,3-diyl)bis(phenylmethanone). Structure of the synthesized derivative was proved by 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and X-ray diffraction analysis. The obtained cyclohexanol derivative shows hemorheological activity: it is able to inhibit the growth of the viscosity of whole blood during the formation of the syndrome of increased blood viscosity in vitro.
