- Abstract
The article discusses the genetic variability system for neural mutations. A discussion on near neutral mutations is given. It cites the findings of degeneration of DNA code, which involves the existence of base triplets coding for similar amino acid, indicating that neutral mutations are not rare as considered previously. Also discussed is the average homozygosity as well as the effective population number of alleles.
