BASF Breaks Ground on Methyl Glycols Plant.
Abstract
BASF has begun construction on a methyl glycols plant in Zhanjiang, China. The facility will produce methyl diglycol, methyl triglycol, and methyl tetraglycol from methanol and purified ethylene oxide. With an annual capacity of 46,000 metric tons, it will be the first fully backward-integrated methyl glycols plant in China. The plant is expected to start operations by the end of 2025.
