- Abstract
The article discusses the need to understand the metabolic potential of hydrocarbon biodegradation of marine ecosystem and environment to minimize effects of oil spill. Topics include Deepwater Horizon (DWH) oil spill at Gulf of Mexico in 2010, Colwellia, and hydrocarbon-degrading microbial communities.
