- Abstract
The article presents research on sexual dimorphism in forelimb muscles of the Asiatic toad, Bufo gargarizans, including deltoideus, pectoralis, and coraco-humeralis longus. The study explores differences in body size and mass of subject forelimb muscles between female and male species and between amplectant and non-amplectant males of the species. It discusses the significance of the study in sexual selection among the species and in determining which muscles are associated with the male mating advantage in B. gargarizans.
