- Abstract
The article discusses several developments involving the U.S. trademark and copyright laws in cyberspace in 2012, focusing on an analysis of legal issues related to keyword advertising on the Internet, the first sale copyright law doctrine, and trademark infringement claims. Trademark use-in-commerce, keyword purchases, and Internet advertising are addressed in the legal case Naked Cowboy v. CBS. Public domain musical works are examined in the U.S. Supreme Court case Golan v. Holder.
