- Abstract
This article tries to reflect and add to the literature on feminist geography by carrying the discussion of home beyond the public-private dichotomy as well as "Islamic" geographies, such as in harem-selamlık. In order to go beyond the obstacles around the familiarity of the home that makes it quite impossible to discuss it, I tried to show how home and the public became one both in terms of totalities and resistances. In short, nourishing from my previous research on various spaces such as the hammam, and home and harem as well as the literature on feminist geography, I tried to reevaluate the problem of spheres by interpreting them as parts of a unity.
