- Abstract
The article examines the proposed development of the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) program and its impacts on property owners near the project. The TTC, a multi-use transportation system that will integrate existing and new highways, railways and utility right-of-ways, is aimed at addressing mobility problems while planning solutions to long-term transportation needs. The TTC program would involve the construction of separate lanes for passenger vehicles, dedicated truck lanes, freight railways, passenger railways and utilities. According to Avant & Mitchell LP, the program would affect local land use and compensation factors.
