- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the Upper Pliensbachian-Toarcian (Jurassic) palaeontological, sedimentological, and geochemical record in two Eastern Tethyan locations in Bulgaria. The study used belemnite rostra and ammonite specimens, conventional microscopy, and isotopic analysis. Results show that there is a collapse of carbonate platform productivity at the Toarcian/Pliensbachian boundary.
