MANUFACTURING EXECUTIVES WORRY ABOUT MINERALS SUPPLY.
Abstract
The article presents a survey conducted by Edelman Berland for the National Mining Association (NMA) as of January 2015, which showed that majority of senior manufacturing executives are worried about the supply of minerals worldwide. It claims that U.S. manufacturers depend on foreign countries for over 50% of their minerals and metals requirements. Also cited is the approval by the U.S. House of Representatives of The Strategic and Critical Minerals Production Act.
