- Abstract
This paper aims to evaluate the productivity of scientific knowledge published in international journals on pesticides in strawberry production and the risk they represent socially and environmentally. Articles in Google Scholar and ScienceDirect from the last 11 years were reviewed. Bibliometric indicators such as productivity by countries, institutions, authors, keyword occurrence, and the most relevant authors on the subject were analyzed. For the analysis, the Rstudio program was used to create the graphs represented in the figures and then describe the variables according to what was obtained in the program. The results indicate a gradual growth in the number of works on the subject in the different knowledge areas and their possible convergence, highlighting the research that analyzes social risk. The highest productivity was in 2020. The countries with the most activity are China and the United States. This analysis highlights the need for more efforts and incentives to show the risks pesticides used in strawberries can cause to humans and biota. This research facilitates public policy design to reduce the risk analyzed in rural areas.
