- Abstract
This article discusses the implementation of student-centered learning in a teacher-centered classroom in Uzbekistan. The authors describe how they used an adapted project-based learning (PBL) method to introduce student-centered learning to their English as a foreign language (EFL) students. Due to limited technology resources, they modified their methods by using paper and poster materials instead of digital presentations. The article provides a detailed account of the steps taken to facilitate student research, group work, and presentations, and concludes with reflections on the success of the adapted PBL activity. The authors suggest that teachers can adjust this format to match their own curriculum and provide guidance on potential adaptations.
