- Abstract
The purpose of this paper was to analyze the decision making in three small sided games 3 vs. 3 (futsal, handball and basketball), after an 8 week program, in untrained adolescent girls. The sample comprised 44 girls from Priego (Córdoba, Spain), between 15 and 16 years of age (M= 15.36; DT= 0.49), and physically inactive. The research was based on a quasi-experimental pre-post study design with two randomised groups, control and experimental. The tool to measure decision making was the Game Perfomance Assessment Instrument (GPAI). A components of variance analysis was carried out to assess the quality of the data and also an analysis of generalizability. Likewise, a two-factor ANOVA for GPAI factor was used to establish the effects of the intervention. The findings have revealed positive changes in the decision making, after 8 weeks of practice, in small sided games of the three sports analyzed. Therefore, the findings bear out that small sided games can be a useful tool in any team sport teaching process.
