- Abstract
The article comments on a study on the effectiveness of the U.S. Army policy on hearing conservation programs (HCPs) published within the issue. It stresses its disagreement with the methodology and conclusions presented by the authors. It expresses views on the design of the study which was aimed at determining whether a group of 675 workers at the Anniston Army Depot in Alabama had incurred occupational noise-induced hearing loss between 1987 and 2001. It also offers additional comments regarding the 3-decibel (dB) exchange rate.
