The article reports on the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' (Defra) short public survey on views toward the amendment of the maximum penalty for an aggravated offence under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 in Great Britain. It mentions that the said act involves injuries and attacks made by out of control dogs on people or other canines. It also notes the option of extending the maximum sentence to life imprisonment instead of two years.
