- Abstract
The article focuses on the study concerning the heart and respiratory rates and adrenal response in New Zealand White (NZW) to propofol or alfaxalone. A competitive enzyme immunoassay was used in measuring the serum corticosterone and cortisol levels in each blood samples. It mentions that both propofol and alfaxalone induced a decrease in heart and respiratory rates.
