Abstract
The article reports on the death of a yearling Welsh ewe from southern Snowdonia. Louping ill was diagnosed as the probable cause of death. From 150 ewes that had been turned onto mountain grazing, six had died after showing nervous signs. The article reveals that ticks were present on the ewe sampled.
