- Abstract
This article discusses various issues related to risks associated with awarding sentences in court cases of the U.S. The article makes specific reference to constitutionally suspect factors and evidence-based sentencing. Topics discussed include: antisocial personality, adult criminal history, and family rearing practices as predictor variables and challenges that judges face related to the use of empirical variables in evidence-based sentencing.
