THE FOURTH FESTIVAL OF LATIN-AMERICAN FILMS.
- Abstract
The article highlights the events that took place during the Latin-American Film Festival held in Sestri Levante on the Italian Riviera in Italy on May 25 to June 1, 1963. The George Eastman House of New York was represented during the event by James Card, the curator of motion pictures who had been invited to serve as a member of the jury. The competition featured six feature films from Argentina, one from Bolivia, three from Brazil, one from Colombia, two from Chile, two from Mexico, and one each from Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. The winning entry came from Mexico entitled "From the Old Balcony," by Jose Miguel Garcia Ascot.
