The article proposes a statutory approach for eyewitness identification procedures in Illinois, Connecticut and Florida to prevent the misidentification of innocent persons and protect suspects and calls for the amendment of the Illinois Lineup Procedure. Topics discussed are wrongful convictions, eyewitness identification procedures and current laws regarding in Illinois, Connecticut and Florida and the impact of these laws.
