- Abstract
The present work has the purpose of analyzing the pre-Hispanic politic relations existing between Nahua and Tének Chichimeca groups during the Postclassic period of Mesoamerica (900-1521 A.D.). To do this, the research is based on the examination of archaeological evidence of politicalreligious speeches (sculptures), but also in written and pictographic documents from the 16th century. The purpose is to understand these power relations, in order to determine whether or not there could be an identity shared between groups of the Northern border of Mesoamerica, and in turn, if it could influence the historical evolution of these societies by consolidating the domain Tenochca, towards the end of the 15th century.
