- Abstract
The article explores the depiction of witches and witchcraft in the Hebrew Bible. Topics discussed include the accusations made by biblical prophet Ezekiel about false prophetesses according to a passage in the Book of Ezekiel, the condemnation of both female exiles and false male prophets by God, and the practice of necromancy by the women acknowledged by Ezekiel according to some scholars.
