- Abstract
The article reports on the launch of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) initiative to build foreign relations and monitor imported products. It is stated that the pharmaceutical companies outsourcing and the scandal with an imported blood thinner resulted to the launch. It notes that the FDA coordinated with foreign government agencies to inspect facilities preparing pharmaceutical ingredients. It also mentions the FDA Globalization Act proposed by Congressman John Dingell.
