The article discusses the failures of the U.S. government to abide by the provisions of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Accordingly, the paper detailed the reasons and the roots of the failure of the U.S. government to abide the provisions of the treaty. Moreover, the paper also highlights the failure of the U.S. government to abide the role of conquest in establishing racialized relationships between Anglos and Mexicans in the Southern States.
