- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 26-year old woman who had chronic diarrhea and was diagnosed with ischemic colitis following colonoscopy. Findings from the patient's whole blood count, biochemistry, stool examination, abdominal ultrasonography are presented. The appearance of the abdominal aorta and mesenteric arteries of the patient is also described. Conservative management measures to treat ischemic colitis include intravenous fluids, empirical antibiotics and bowel rest.
